I purchased it in a store, in the box. The demo bike had a bent rim and the fender was crooked. Once the bike was fully put together by my husband I just couldn't stay off of it. The seat is adjustable upwards and downwards plus it can tilt forward and backward. I'm unsure if this is normal in bikes but I thought it was pretty cool. The breaks work great too, being that I haven't ridden a bike in 15 years, I used them a lot! It is not highest quality, but will work for amount I plan to ride. The wide seat and handle bar grips are comfortable for riding. Love the color & retro design.My suggestions to the manufacturer: 1. Improve packing at factory - box was completely open re-taped on 1 corner, multiple punctures through box, the packing material protecting bike was inadequate. However I did receive all the parts and bike was not damaged. 2. Add assembly video on You Tube: Assembly took about 2 hours -1 hour to assemble and 1 hour to adjust the brakes - I had a difficult time adjusting the front brakes to be equidistant from the front tire - finally solved problem by re-screwing front wheel to frame. Before you follow the instructions for fine tuning the brakes, suggest looking up linear bicycle brake adjustment videos on You Tube. These were more helpful than the instructions which were too basic and not helpful... It was perfect for my style. The seat is wide and riding is comfortable. My complaints/suggestions would be: 1. The handlebar grips are not the same color as the bike. 2. Assembly is difficult if you have never assembled a bike before. Like another reviewer, it would be helpful to have an assembly video. The instruction booklet was not thorough. |
